Wine fermenters (commonly referred to as stainless steel temperature-controlled fermenters or conical-bottom fermenters) are the core winemaking vessels where grape juice is converted into wine. They carry out critical processes including alcoholic fermentation, malolactic fermentation (MLF), lees contact, and aging/maturation, which directly influence the wine’s color, tannin structure, aromatic complexity, and final quality.
Unlike beer fermentation, wine fermentation imposes more stringent requirements on temperature gradient control—red wines typically require 25–30°C to extract pigments and tannins, while white wines need 12–18°C to preserve delicate fruit aromas—as well as on pomace maceration management (e.g., regular punch-downs or pump-overs for red wines) and oxygen management. Therefore, professional wine fermenters must be designed to balance precise temperature control, operational convenience, and strict sanitary safety standards.

Our fermenters come equipped with all essential features required for reliable, sanitary, and consistent beer production. Each tank is engineered with professional-grade materials, precise temperature control, and industry-standard safety components to ensure long-term performance in commercial brewing environments.

Upgrade your fermenters with advanced materials, automation options, and fully customized configurations tailored to your brewing process.
Our wine fermenters are available in flexible capacities ranging from hectoliters to hundreds of kiloliters, featuring modular construction and seamless automation integration. They are designed to serve the four typical project categories outlined below. Whether you are building a new cellar, retrofitting existing lines, or initiating a contract winemaking program, a stainless steel fermenter of sound design and premium material quality is the foundational asset that delivers process stability, flavor consistency, and sustained return on equipment investment.
Small-batch, single-vineyard, or special-variety fermenters with precise temperature control for terroir expression (hundreds to thousands of bottles/year).
Multi-variety fermenters with flexible temperature/maceration/racking adjustments and zoned tank farms (tens to hundreds of thousands of bottles/year).
PLC-automated tank farms with remote monitoring and programmed CIP for consistent mass production (1M+ bottles/year).
Customizable configurations with rapid changeover for contract/private-label projects, lowering entry barriers and enabling agile market response.

It helps you quickly understand our customization capability, certifications, lead times, installation support, and what information we need to prepare an accurate quotation.
Leave about 25% free space during fermentation for foam in white wine and the cap in red wine. For example, a 5000L batch needs about a 6250L tank. Tell us your batch size and style and we will pick the tank volume.
A variable-capacity tank has a floating lid to remove headspace for partial volumes, but needs a good seal. Sealed fixed tanks suit full volumes or inert gas. Choose by how consistent your batch sizes are.
Flat-bottom tanks cost less but cannot fully drain and are limited in size. Conical tanks drain fully and let solids settle to an outlet. Choose according to your process and cleaning.
Red wine releases a lot of heat from the cap. Dimple jackets in zones on the side and the bottom, fed with glycol or chilled water, give control. We design the jacket coverage for your wine.
Standard fittings include a sampling valve, thermowell, racking outlet, manway and sanitary Tri-clamp connections, with other options available. Send your list and we will confirm.
Standard sizes ship faster than custom tanks. The lead time is given in your quotation, with export packing and testing before shipment. Our factory has a 30,000 m² fabrication base.
